Sorry it's been a while since I posted! Things have been crazy, with moving and traveling and getting ready to head back to work! I'll post about the new place soon!
Back in January my family and I booked tickets to go to Boston in June for my grandmothers 90th birthday. As many of you know, my grandmother passed away in March, (I will devote an entire post to that later). Another plan for this trip was to introduce Ted to my dad's side of the family. Aside from hiking though Mass on the trail, Ted had never been to Boston.
So we kept our plans and headed east. We had a BLAST! We stayed with my aunt and uncle who are such good and amazing people! Its such a joy to be around them! We also had the pleasure of having my cousins little girls for the weekend. My cousin and her husband ironically were flying to San Francisco the day after we arrived and my aunt and uncle were baby sitting for them. They are the sweetest and best behaved girls. They are funny, and loving, and just awesome. And they took a liking to Ted! They were pushing each other out of the way to get to him, and he loved it!! We went to Newport, Rhode Island, where all the who's who had their summer homes back in the day. I mean houses that look like hotels, where one family would stay for the summer. It was CRAZY! And it was beautiful! We also went into Boston and walked the freedom trail. Its a red brick path that leads you to all the historic places in Boston. Its so interesting to read about and see these places that were the foundation for the country we live in. There are a ton of old grave yards in the city, some with headstones dating back to 1690! We ate the most AMAZING pizza in the North End. We were sad to leave, but decided we are making another trip in the Fall, so we can explore some more! Thank you Aunt Janice and Uncle Jeff for your hospitality and love!
