So because I love my engagement ring so much it gets its own post!
For those that don't know, Ted proposed with an acrylic ring shaped like a Tiffany engagement ring (see post below) He did this for a couple of reasons 1.) who wants to carry a diamond engagement ring deep into Yosemite? 2.) He wanted us to be able to pick out the ring together. So he proposed with that as a place holder, and then we designed the ring of my dreams!
I think every girl does it, we picture what our ring will look like, we went into jewlery stores and looked at the engagement rings when we were no where near engagement just to "get an idea." No one else? Maybe it was just me. Nonetheless, the ring I have is far more amazing than anything I could ever have come up with.
I'm not writing this to brag about MY ring. But to reflect on how much more than a ring it is. It has nothing to do with the diamond, how big it is, or isn't, how many diamonds it has or doesn't have, gold, or platinum. We designed it together. The ring on my finger is as much Ted's as it is mine. When we hold hands he fingers the ring, he is proud of it. Proud of the symbol, what it represents, proud to call me his, proud to soon be my husband. And I wear it proudly for those very reasons.
